In the unfortunate event that a patient develops adverse effects, our team can investigate and identify potential reasons for the event, whether they be dosimetrical errors of radiobiological effects.
Errors
If errors in a department are suspected, the best way to manage this problem is to invite an external expert to investigate the issue. We have international experience in this area, and have uncovered errors emanating from a range of sources.
Adverse effects / Radiobiology
The role of the Biological Effective Dose (BED) is becoming more and more important in radiosurgery. Subtle variations in treatment plans can lead to large differences in the BED delivered. We have published extensively in this important area.
